The British High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES) that serves as the Malaysia National Focal Point for the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), which jointly hosts Working Group III of the IPCC, is organising a one-day outreach event on climate science and policy on 14 December 2024. The outreach is following the Scoping Meeting for the IPCC Seventh Assessment Report (AR7) scheduled in Kuala Lumpur from 9-13 December 2024, which involves global experts in climate change including the IPCC Bureau, chaired by Professor Sir Jim Skea, a renowned expert in sustainable energy from the UK.
